HOT TUB PROBLEMS
Owning and using a Hot Tub is a great life experience and whilst the volume of water is much less than a swimming pool there is a requirement for daily checks and regular chemical dosing. As Hot Tubs run at a much higher operating temperature than swimming pools, typically 36-38 degrees Celsius, then the higher temperature factor can accelerate hot tub problems when things start going out of balance.
CLOUDY OR MILKY HOT TUB WATER
Cloudy water is caused by small particles floating in the water. Your hot tub can take on a milky appearance which makes it difficult to see the bottom of the tub. Both these problems could be caused by many reasons such as poor filtration (dirty filters), heavy usage or poor water chemistry.
INSTANT FILTER CLEANER
Use Instant Filter Cleaner to clean your filters as this tends to be the main cause of water quality issues.
ULTRA SPA CLARIFIER
Ultra Spa Clarifier will clump together the small particles so they can be filtered, this may allow for the water to clear.
FOAMING HOT TUB WATER
When foam is present in your spa or hot tub it is a sign that your water is out of balance, in particular high levels of unwanted dissolved compounds. These arise from sweat, oil, shampoo and soap that wash off users of the spa or hot tub. Combined with the higher running temperature, vigorous agitation of the water and the introduction of air, unwanted foam occurs.
NO MORE FOAM
Use No More Foam with the circulation pump(s) running to help distribution. You need to remember that this product does not remove or inactivate foam causing compounds, it only temporarily reduces their ability to produce foam. Always encourage users to shower before use to help minimise foaming of the water.
HOT TUB COVER CRACKING & FADING
Your hot tub cover is subject to all weather conditions and the outdoor environment itself and needs to be looked after. These conditions can crack and fade your cover very quickly making its appearance lacklustre.
HOT TUB & SPA POLISH
Use Hot Tub & Spa Polish to seal, polish and protect all your acrylic, vinyl and rubber surfaces. Once applied it will protect these surfaces against unwanted moisture, degradation from harsh chemicals and the suns UV rays thus prolonging their life cycle.
LEAKING SPA OR HOT TUB
If you have a leaking spa or hot tub you should always try to fix the problem first with our Lo-Chlor Spa Leak Sealer before spending excessive amounts of money on fixing any internal pipework and repairing or even replacing the shell.
SPA LEAK SEALER
Spa Leak Sealer is a concentrated formulation that will seal minor leaks in the shell and/or internal plumbing system of a hot tub or spa. During the treatment process you must always turn off any air blowers otherwise the product will not work. Once treated, and the leak is sealed, it is recommended that you completely drain the hot tub or spa and leave empty for 48 hours so the product can cure.
