phosphates. Bulk Starver binds with phosphates in water and
sends them to the bottom of the pool. Once vacuumed to waste
phosphate levels can be reduced by up to 3ppm.

Professional tips – The importance of Phosphates

Phosphates are the major nutrient for algae and their treatment and subsequent removal is integral in eradicating
stubborn algae.

When testing for phosphates, make sure that there is no algae present in the water.
•
If algae are present, they will have consumed the phosphates and your test result will be false
(usually zero).
•
Superchlorinate to kill algae cells, add Phosphate Remover and treat with a Lo-Chlor Longlife Algaecide
after backwashing.
